2019 Formosa Railroad Bento Festival was attended by 27 railway operators from 5 countries including Japan, Switzerland, France, Sri Lanka and local famous restaurants. ‘Beauty in Movement’ was the event concept, which followed retro them content creation, bringing back the old Taipei Railroad Restaurant and the traditional blue train to successfully arouse visitors’ memories. Visitors could browse more than 35 varieties of bento options, both domestic and international authentic railway culture, sightseeing, cultural and creative commodities, local customs etc. As a result, supported by the well-organized online and offline promotion strategy, the event reached over 900,000 people, generating more than 150 media mentions, attracted over 500 VIP participants to sign up for the warm-up event and the crowd never let up, allowing all to experience the singular railroad journey.
